Tayla (LYNN) and Tre (TWITTY) will reprise
the hits of their grandparents in Pikeville <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The grandchildren of famed country music duet Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn will be in Pikeville for a special performance at the Appalachian Center for the arts.The center is located downtown and happens Friday, Nov. 19.
Everyone is invited to enjoy Tayla Lynn and Tre Twitty as they will honor their grandparents’ many hit songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s Cruisin’ Season Again<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Good Ole Boys car club is having a crusin\u2019 by the river event, May 21, 2021 in Pikeville, Kentucky. The location is the parking lot below Applebee\u2019s, McDonald\u2019s, Arby\u2019s in the shopping area on Cassady Blvd.
All events will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will end only when folks get their fill of looking at classic cars and sharing stories.
Live music is also planned for this event, which will feature music from the 1960s.
There will be 75 dash plaques that will be given away on a first come, first serve basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BILL SEEKS TO INTEGRATE PIKE CO.
TRAILS WITH REGIONAL ROUTES <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Plans are underway to connect trails from Pike County locations with nearby existing trails in West Virginia. The Kentucky Mountain Recreational Authority formed in 2017 has prompted Pike Co. officials to put their support behind a bill before the Kentucky Legislature that would knit together existing trails to West Virginia and Virginia trails.
Jason Tackett, a county District Two commissioner, says the effort will “put Pike County on the map” with such an extra offering for oudoor adventure tourism.
Tackett, who is also chairman of the Trails Authority, feels confident that this can be brought to fruition. He noted that some coal company properties that will be a part of the trails network, are looking positive through the cooperation of the companies involved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
