FALL TRAIL RIDE PROCEEDS THIS YEAR WILL BE APPLIED TO ASSIST WITH KNOTT COUNTY FLOOD RECOVERY<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With the lingering effects of severe summer flooding in Knott County , Knott County Tourism will structure this fall’s trail ride on October 7 thru 9, as a way to further raise funds to help their fellow citizens.Noah Thompson of Louisa, this year’s American Idol TV sensation, has been booked to be the musical headliner.Admission will be $25, and children under 12 are free.The ride is located just off Highway 80 about six miles north of Hindman, just follow the signs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MINE MADE ADVENTURE PARK
HAS SEEN RECENT UPGRADES

Knott County\u2019s Mine Made Adventure Park is growing and able to provide a family-centered group of outdoor activities at different levels. It provides a great vacation or weekend getaway for all ages.
Expansion is ongoing with new cabins and related upgrades throughout 2021.
For campers, they offer sites in three levels, water and 50 amp electric service,\u00a0 water and 30 amp electricity, and water only locations.\u00a0 Tent campsites are plentiful, too.
Mine Made Adventure Park\u2019s name is self-explanatory. It has been made possible by acres and acres of nearly flattened mountaintop terrain left behind from extensive coal mining several years ago.
Cabins are situated with sunset views, are 384 sq. ft. structures, and can sleep up to six.
Trails are waiting for ATV,\u00a0 horses, and hiking. The horse trails are plentiful \u00a0so you can \u201cride for days and not pass the same trail twice\u201d.
The park is located about nine miles north of Hindman and is just off KY Route 80 at Leburn.

The 2021 Knott County Trail Ride is on for this Spring, running from May 2 thru 8.The Trail Ride is one of the region\u2019s premier tourist events, and occurs at Leburn, Ky. on the acres of a former strip mine. The site is just off Ky. 80 about three miles north of Hindman.Attractions include excellent live music, food and specialty booths, and various equestrian activities.Camping is also available and folks from across the USA are expected to participate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year campers will note a major expansion at the Mine Made Adventure Park and Campground with the addition of more facilities and services.
This campsite is located adjacent to the location of the biannual Knott County Trail Ride, about three miles north of Hindman. ATV riders from all over have experienced the vast amount of acreage to be enjoyed.
New campsites and cabins are up and running, there is a shower house, and options for primitive campers, too.
To access the campsite, which is open year round, turn right from the southbound lane of Ky. 80 onto Ky. 2098 at Leburne.
